Expressions of Interest - Leadership and Class Teachers
Broome Enterprise Academy is a new independent school in Broome for young people in Years 7–10 who are seeking a fresh start. Established by the Broome Youth and Families Hub, our school is built on strong community connections and a belief that every young person can thrive when given the right opportunities.
We don’t look or feel like a traditional school. There are no classrooms in the conventional sense. Learning happens in the kitchen, the garden, the workshop, on-Country, and through real-world projects that connect students with culture, family, and community.
We are now seeking expressions of interest from educators and leaders who share our vision.
What we’re looking for
Experienced leaders and teachers who are flexible, adaptable, and open to new ways of teaching.
People with a trauma-informed approach who can build trust and strong relationships with young people.
Those with experience working alongside Aboriginal students, families, and communities, and who value bicultural perspectives in education.
Educators excited by hands-on, project-based learning in areas such as hospitality, horticulture, automotive, enterprise, and creative projects.
Team players who can mentor, guide, and inspire students while also collaborating with colleagues, families, and community partners.
What we offer
The chance to be part of a pioneering school model that places culture, creativity, and enterprise at the centre of learning.
A supportive team committed to making education meaningful for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling.
Opportunities to shape innovative programs that connect academic learning with real-world skills and pathways.
A culturally safe workplace with strong community support and wrap-around services.
